Pin Young is a versatile actress who enjoys both comedic and dramatic roles and is able to play a wide age range. She does primarily on-camera work but also likes the excitement of live theatre.

Pin began performing at the age of 3, when she sang solos in a children's choir. An accomplished musician and credentialed music teacher, she has been playing violin since the age of 6. Pin can play any Western instrument convincingly on camera as well be an instrumental and conducting consultant. She has been teaching private violin lessons since the age of 14 and has since been teaching viola, music theory, conducting, and piano privately as well. Pin lives in Los Angeles and is available nights and weekends and during winter, spring, and summer breaks for projects in California.

*National TV spot for the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel trailer. Watch for Pin in a marching band drum major uniform!

*Guest star role on Season 6, Episode 4 of the truTV show, Operation Repo. They are currently airing Season 5. Air date for Season 6 TBA.

*Lead role as a Chinese foreign exchange student in a dark comedic film produced by LmacTV. Currently in post production..

*The High Tower has received the following awards & recognitions on the festival circuit so far: Best Foreign Language Film (Bare Bones Festival 2009), Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking (2009 Honolulu International Film Festival), Official Finalist (Las Vegas International Film Festival). Official Selection (Buffalo Niagara Film Festival).

*Lead role as Sheila the Witch in the short comedic film, "Boomer's Day Off," inspired by the Left 4 Dead video game. Due to popular demand, it became a 4-part miniseries. Pin appears in parts 2 and 4. Watch Part 1 here.

*Supporting role as graphic designer Adriane in the SAG short comedy "Because You Deserve It", produced by Minscoth Productions. The film is currently being submitted to film festivals.

*Both screenings of Mozlym in San Diego in February reached maximum capacity, and people were turned away at the door. Pin is grateful for the mass numbers of people that attended and enjoyed answering questions at the cast/crew panel following the screenings.

*Mozlym has been accepted into the International Film Festival Thailand (July 2009), International Film Festival Egypt (April 2009), and the British Film Festival Los Angeles (May 2009).

*./shutdown , the popular web comedy series in which Pin starred as lesbian geek girl Hally, will most likely not be producing a second season due to budgetary constraints. Pin is disappointed in the cancellation, as she thoroughly enjoyed playing and developing Hally as a character, but she is looking forward to pursuing other roles now that her schedule is more free. *The High Tower premiered at the Chinese American Film Festival. Pin attended the red carpet opening ceremony at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Hollywood on November 3rd. *Mozlym screened at the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival in the Feature Digital Film category and received a lot of attention from the Egyptian media as the only U.S. film accepted in the category. The Cairo International Film Festival is an "A" Festival, on par with the Cannes, Berlin, and Tokyo film festivals.
