*The High Tower has received the following awards & recognitions on the festival circuit so far: Best Foreign Language Film (Bare Bones Festival 2009), Aloha Accolade Award for Excellence in Filmmaking (2009 Honolulu International Film Festival), Official Finalist (Las Vegas International Film Festival). Official Selection (Buffalo Niagara Film Festival).
*Lead role as Sheila the Witch in the short comedic film, "Boomer's Day Off," inspired by the Left 4 Dead video game. Due to popular demand, it became a 4-part miniseries. Pin appears in parts 2 and 4. Watch Part 1 here.
*Supporting role as graphic designer Adriane in the SAG short comedy "Because You Deserve It", produced by Minscoth Productions. The film is currently being submitted to film festivals.*Both screenings of Mozlym in San Diego in February reached maximum capacity, and people were turned away at the door. Pin is grateful for the mass numbers of people that attended and enjoyed answering questions at the cast/crew panel following the screenings.
*Mozlym has been accepted into the International Film Festival Thailand (July 2009), International Film Festival Egypt (April 2009), and the British Film Festival Los Angeles (May 2009).
*./shutdown , the popular web comedy series in which Pin starred as lesbian geek girl Hally, will most likely not be producing a second season due to budgetary constraints. Pin is disappointed in the cancellation, as she thoroughly enjoyed playing and developing Hally as a character, but she is looking forward to pursuing other roles now that her schedule is more free. If you missed the series, you can still watch it online on the Kill9 website, Veoh, or YouTube.
*The High Tower premiered at the Chinese American Film Festival. Pin attended the red carpet opening ceremony at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Hollywood on November 3rd. *Mozlym screened at the prestigious Cairo International Film Festival in the Feature Digital Film category and received a lot of attention from the Egyptian media as the only U.S. film accepted in the category. The Cairo International Film Festival is an "A" Festival, on par with the Cannes, Berlin, and Tokyo film festivals.
*Dancer/Partier in the music video of "Not A Love Song" for the band Uh Huh Her. Watch the video premiere on MTV. (You can see Pin to the left of Leisha Hailey at around -2:53.) Video produced by Draw Pictures.
*Final Round won the Star Award for Independent Drama over 30 minutes and Necessary Measures won the Creative Achievement Award for Independent Drama under 30 minutes at the El Cajon Video and Film Festival.
*./shutdown , the weekly web comedy series in which Pin stars as lesbian geek girl Hally, has reached over 1 million views and has been watched in 136 countries across all 6 continents (Antarctica excluded). The series is currently on hiatus. Season Two is in pre-production and is slated to premiere (along with a brand new website design!) in Winter 2009. *Supporting role in the short film "misconception". Director Jeremy Root had seen various projects that Pin has done and liked her work. He sent her his script and offered her the role. The film is currently being submitted to festivals.
*Mozlym, the feature film in which Pin plays a large supporting role as a devout Muslim, Chinese-Malaysian college girl, won Audience Favorite Honorable Mention at theRiverside International Film Festival. The film is produced by Scimitar Productions and will eventually be released on television and DVD in the U.S. and Great Britain. Read an article about the film from InFocus.
*Lead role in Perched!, produced by DivX for the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project. Pin was one of the writers and music supervisors for this film as well as for Overtime, the other film DivX produced for the festival. (The cast and crew of 16 people completed 2 films!) Perched! won the Audience Choice Award for its screening group and was chosen as one of 12 "Best of San Diego" films.
*Was a judge for the Del Mar TV Idol 2007 competition.
*Lead role of Hally in the new internet comedy series, ./shutdown.
*Drink Ella's Riddle, a digital non-sync film, is currently in post production. Pin played a supporting role and played the violin on screen. She will be recording the violin track in the next couple of weeks.
*Booked supporting role of Linda for the Vahecc Productions feature film, Rapture.
*Performed The Towel Lady , a one-act, one-woman play, followed by a Q&A with the audience at the University Heights Arts Open.
*Booked lead role in a UCSD student film (shoot dates TBD). Will be a 30-minute comedic/improvisatory adventure film.
